eLene4life held its final multiplier event which was the project conference on the 27th May 2021. Due to restrictions imposed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic the conference was hosted online by the University of Dundee and Aunege.
The conference was an opportunity for the project team to share the outcomes of the project with a wider audience, develop a community of practice and share examples of best practice from colleagues across the wider Higher Education sector.
The online conference was video recorded throughout and the presentations will be posted on the eLene Network YouTube channel along with other eLene social media platforms. The conference was opened by Professor Iain Gillespie, Principal of the University of Dundee and Professor Christophe Fournier, President of Aunege.
Both professors stressed the importance of active learning to support the development of students’ transversal skills, particularly in this digital age. Both professors also recognised the importance of greater collaborations between the Corporate Sector and Higher Education especially post-COVID and the changing future demands of employers.
The conference programme structure was two presentations from members of the project team followed by a keynote presentation which was in turn, followed by a set of five Lightning Talks from practitioners in Higher Education. This format was repeated in the afternoon session which concluded with a panel discussion. The panel consisted of members of the project’s Board of Experts and project team members.
